Another prawn curry. This one is very good though. Make it and you won't be dissapointed!
The Ingredients
- 1 lb raw prawns (weighed after removal of heads and tails)
- 1 tsp ground cummin seed
- 1½ tsp ground turmeric
- ¼ tsp ground ginger
- 6 mashed garlic cloves
- ½ tsp ground chilli
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1½ tbsp ground coriander
- 1 cup of coconut milk
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 finely sliced onion
- ½ tsp salt
The Recipe
- Fry the onion in the oil until it goes golden brown
- Add the prawns and cook until they turn pink
- Add the salt, cummin , turmeric , ginger , garlic and chilli and continue to cook until the prawns are thoroughly cooked through.
- Add the coconut milk and simmer for around 10 minutes
- Just before serving add the vinegar
